PITTSBURGH– Henry Jampel collapsed in the shower of his swim pool, when he suffered sudden cardiac arrest. The 44-year-old was given Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) until paramedics arrived, then a defibrillator shocked his heart back into rhythm.

Rotary foundation started a fund to pay for the devices
Automated external defibrillator (AED) saved Silverton resident Weldon Nusbaum’s life.
Nusbaum donated $100 to the Silverton Rotary Foundation to start a fund for AED. The nonprofit foundation has purchased four for use in Silverton police patrol cars.

DeMarco Anderson-Turner, the fifth grader, drowned when celebrating the end of the school year with classmates at a pool party.

After much research, the West Liberty School Board decided to install defibrillators for the school district during a June 19 meeting.
The defibrillators will be donated by the Lions Club, local Girl Scouts and the West Liberty Fire Department. Each defibrillator will cost around $1,500.

A new London man Brad Foutes, 51, died at the O’Fallon Jail on Saturday night. The man was arrested for peace disturbance and resisting arrest at a house on Sonderen Drive, according to police officers.
