The governer of Texas really believe that AED can save lives. Public school are volnerable for heart issues, and AED can help. He’s pushing and trying to get funding. It won’t be cheap, but it will be well worth it.

Texas to buy defibrillators for each public school

Matt Nader (football player for the Westlake football team) was saved on the sidelines sometimes in September 2006 by AED. Lt. Governor David Dewhurst wants all the public shcools in Texas (about 8000 of them) to have one, and at least one staff member to be trained.
