Columbus City Council invests $55,000 to purchase defibrillators

Councilwoman Patsy Thomas has decided to purchase defibrillator machines for Columbus City under Project HeartStart. The Council plans to invest $55,000 and buy 24 automated external defibrillators along with their hardware, says Melinda Swan, the council Chief of Staff.
The automated defibrillators are manufactured by Medtronic Inc. (NYSE :MDT) of Redmond Wash. [...]
