A swim-a-thon is to take place on Saturday at the Broadview YMCA in Allouez. This event will last for 12 hours and is being undertaken in order to raise funds for purchasing automated external defibrillators.

An automated external defibrillator is a small, light machine that is utilized for evaluating an individual’s heart rate. This machine can also deliver an electric shock if the patient is suffering from a sudden cardiac arrest.

The event will last for 12 hours wherein different teams will swim in a relay. It will begin at noon and end at midnight. The entry fee per person is $15. For information call Sarah at (920) 434-9247.
